National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership - leadership for SEND
Training - 09:00 - 16:00 8 Oct 2020
Manchester Metropolitan University, Ormond building, Council Chamber, Lower Ormond Street, Manchester, M15 6BX
nasen recognises that all leaders are leaders for children and young people with SEND. Undertaking this qualification with nasen enables you to explore what this means for your school or group of schools in the context of a full NPQSL.
Whether you have a particular interest in SEND and want to develop your understanding about senior leadership in this area or you are keen to expand your general leadership effectiveness for SEND, nasen’s NPQSL can support you.
Our NPQSL course is suitable for middle leaders who are aspiring to progress into senior leadership in the next 12-18 months, have completed at least one year at middle leadership level or may have served on an extended leadership team. Those currently in senior leadership roles may also wish to attend our training programme to further develop their professional portfolio and gain a new qualification. Delegates will be assessed through a 5,000-word written assignment about the initiation, implementation and evaluation of a whole school project.
Delegates from mainstream and special settings are welcome.
Please be aware that this training is subject to a sufficient minimum number of delegates, and may be cancelled if the minimum isn't reached. Should we have to cancel the event, the cost of the training will be refunded.
Course dates: The course includes 4 days of face to face training on the following dates: Thursday 8th October 2020, Tuesday 24th November 2020, Tuesday 9th February 2021 and Thursday 17th June 2021
