Using Sensory Strategies in the Classroom

Kim is an occupational therapist with over 15 years' experience supporting children with sensory processing differences and autism. Her current focus is online training and support for educators, including her training Sensory Processing with GriffinOT which has been shortlisted in the Nasen Awards Technology Innovation category.
In this short presentation Kim will introduce the concept of arousal and how sensory strategies can be used to support learning and focus in the classroom. She explores how to use common strategies like sensory diets, sensory circuits, weighted blankets and wobble cushions.
