The guidance includes both travel on public transport and dedicated transport to schools and other places of education. Local authorities remain under a statutory duty to provide free home to school transport for all eligible children. Essentially, guidance states that those providing transport must do ‘all that is reasonably practicable to maximise social distancing where possible and minimise the risk of transmission.’
