Accredited Level 3 Early Years SENCO Award
CPD to help practitioners develop their confidence and knowledge
This training, developed by School Improvement Liverpool, has been offered free in 23 Local Authorities to SENCOs from PVI settings through a government-funded project throughout 2019.
The award is gained through a 12.5 day course running over 3-4 months and requires 3 written assignments and an observation of participants working in their settings. The project is now complete, however, the following Local Authorities may be running further cohorts of training in 2020:
Barnsley, Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole, Bristol, Derbyshire, Kirklees, Nottinghamshire, Portsmouth, Sheffield and Solihull.
Although this training may no longer be funded, nasen are offering half price gold membership for one year to all participants.

Suitable for anyone working with or supporting young people aged 8-18 years. The training will help you to have the skills and confidence to step in, offer first aid and guide them to the support they need.
This award is the only on-the-job training and accreditation written specifically for those directly involved in SEND casework. More than 50 local authorities and 375 candidates nationally have participated in the award.
Designed to support your professional progression by enabling you to complete a National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) which focuses upon SEND.
