Research Series
Live Webinar
Twilight Talks

In this session, Dr Juhayna Taha Institute of Education, UCL’s faculty for Education and Society, will talk about Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). DLD is a common, yet hidden condition that affects, on average, two students in every classroom. Children with DLD have trouble with understanding and using spoken language which can negatively impact their social and emotional well-being as well as success at school. Therefore, early detection and intervention is crucial for supporting these children. This event is an opportunity for practitioners to develop their knowledge of DLD, its classroom implications and how to support children with DLD (and language difficulties more generally) in educational settings.

This session will be of interest to those working in early years and primary education, including teachers, teaching assistants, SENCos, and educational psychologists
