ISEC 2020 – World Class Keynote Speakers announced

Nasen and UCL are delighted to announce the first line-up of keynote speakers for ISEC (Inclusive and Supportive Education Conference) 2020, which will be held on the 3rd-5th August 2020 at the UCL Institute of Education in London. 

Among the growing list of speakers are well respected professors from across the globe, including Dr. Lyman Dukes, a Professor of Special Education in the College of Education at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, Professor Lani Florian from the University of Edinburgh, Dr. Barbara Hong, a Professor and Program Coordinator of Special Education at Brigham Young University-Hawaii, Dr. David Mitchell, an Adjunct Professor at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand and Professor Sigamoney Naicker, who was appointed on the National Commission for Education Support Services in South Africa by then President Nelson Mandela

The theme for ISEC 2020 is 'Closing the Research to Practice Gap', which follows on from the Inclusion and Equity theme in 2015, which took place in Lisbon. 

Gill Brackenbury, Director of UCL Centre for Inclusive Education said: “We are delighted to be working with nasen to bring ISEC to the IOE in August 2020. Research-informed classroom practice is as important now as it has ever been. ISEC 2020 is an exciting opportunity for researchers and practitioners to work together to continue this essential dialogue.”
