Mental Health Awareness Week – 15th May
Mental Health Awareness week fittingly starts the week of the GCSE examinations this year and the theme is anxiety. The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families has produced a toolkit of resources for pupils and for staff. There are separate toolkits for primary and secondary/FE each with links to websites, factsheets, class activities and more to share with pupils and colleagues to support better mental health.
At nasen we are aware that mental health is a high priority for young people with SEN and it is not constrained to one week. We offer Youth Mental Health First Aid courses at a range of levels to support staff to support young people.
