Nasen supports thousands of education professionals in Pakistan

In 2019, nasen were contracted by Cambridge Education to deliver the training, as part of an international initiative funded by the UK’s Department for International Development.
Thanks to this initiative, nasen has trained a team of lead master trainers and over 300 teachers in Pakistan who have gone on to train a further 3000 professionals.
The training has been extremely well-received, and learners have made comments such as: “This is the best experience in my 34 years career in Special Education” and “I have confidence after this that I can put some positive changes in my role as a teacher”.

Professor Adam Boddison, Chief Executive of nasen, feels that the training has already made a huge impact within the Pakistan education sector and said: ‘nasen’s training programme, which has predominantly taken place in the largest state, The Punjab, has not only helped to promote an inclusive education within the Punjab, but it has boosted the confidence of thousands of education professionals, who now feel better equipped to support children and young people with SEND”.
The training, which is designed to promote inclusive education within the country, helps learners to establish an ideal of personalised and active teaching and learning and adapt to diverse needs in an evolving education community.

Part 2 of the training which will look at establishing a SEND community of practice within the Pakistan education network is due to commence in February 2020.
