Q&A sessions in the South West

Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) and National Association for Special Educational Needs (nasen) are recruiting 160 secondary schools for a trial of the WSS Review and are focusing on the SOUTH WEST.

Monday 20th January 2020, 08:30 – 10:00, Engine Shed, Station Approach, Temple Meads, Bristol, BS1 6QH and 16:30 - 18:30, Jurys Inn Hotel, Fleming Way, Swindon SN1 2NG.

The WSS Review provides a framework that enables school leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of current SEND provision through a structured self-evaluation and peer review with another school. The SEND Review Guide and peer review process helps schools identify areas for improvement within their SEND provision, equips schools to create and review improvement plans. This evaluation process supports schools to embed a focus on SEND as a fundamental to normal school improvement practice.

Katherine Walsh, Project Director, will deliver a presentation about the WSS Review Trial for Headteachers and SENCos in the South West on Monday 20th January 2020 in Bristol 08:30am – 10:00am and Swindon 16:30 - 18:30. Refreshments will be provided and there will be an opportunity to ask questions and sign up.
