Fantastic new opportunities for young adults with EHC plans

DFN Project Search have just announced a partnership with the NHS to set up 42 new funded supported internship programmes providing 500 placements in Hospital Trusts across England by September 2022. Project SEARCH is an international transition to work programme for young people with learning disabilities and autism.

They already partner over 40 hospitals across the UK and 70% of the interns have moved into work with 60% securing a full-time job. In these times of uncertainty this is a vital service for our young people to showcase their abilities within a work-based context.

DFN Project Search are looking for schools or colleges to be involved who have at least 10-12 young people with EHC plans each year who would benefit from the programme. There are two online seminars planned on 8 June from 10.00 AM – 11.00 AM or the 9 June 3.30 PM – 4.30 PM. You can also contact carmel.mckeogh@dfnprojectsearch.org or claire.cookson@dfnfoundation.org for further information.
