Innovative pilot project supporting young people with SEND to have their voice heard
The SEN Policy Research Forum is supporting a UKRI-RSA Rethinking Public Dialogue pilot project looking at enhancing the participation of young people with SEND in public dialogue about inclusion in school education. The pilot has two phases that will look at innovative methods that better enable young people with SEND to participate effectively in public dialogue alongside adults and young people without SEND. The overall aim is to organise, run and evaluate a public dialogue event, a citizen jury (CJ), with the full participation of young people with SEND looking at the question “How to design the English school education system to be more inclusive for Children and Young People with SEN and disabilities by 2050?”
Further information will be provided around recruitment and can be found on the RSA website.
