LGBTQ+ Resources to support autistic young people

Ambitious about Autism working closely with LGBTQ+ autistic young people have produced articles and visual stories to support autistic young people understand gender identity and sexual orientation. This project was driven by a recognition within recent research with autistic individuals that the unique experience of being young, autistic and LGBTQ+ has often been overlooked or misunderstood.

Topics included are:

  • LGBTQ+ and wellbeing
  • Explaining LGBTQ+
  • Coming out
  • Being a lesbian
  • Being gay
  • Being trans
  • Being bisexual

Each area presents the facts, access to a visual story and links to further information and support.
