Mental Health Week Taskmaster Challenge announced

social, emotional and mental wellbeing

Place2Be, the children’s mental health charity have announced a link up with the popular Channel 4 show Taskmaster as part of their activities to promote Children’s Mental Health Week 2023 (6-12 February). Avalon, the production company behind Taskmaster, have announced Taskmaster Education which takes inspiration from the television series to create activities that aim to inspire, engage and teach children and young people. Taskmaster hosts Greg Davies and Alex Horne have recorded a video to announce the partnership, encouraging schools and families to sign up and take part.

During Children’s Mental Health Week 2023, Alex Horne, creator of Taskmaster, will set daily tasks for children to join in with at school or at home. There will also be a treasure hunt, with daily clues to solve: if these are solved correctly over the course of the week, schools, families or other groups will make it on to the Wall of Fame and have a chance of winning the Taskmaster Treasure Hunt Grand Prize. The tasks are aimed at developing skills such as teamwork, problem solving, communication and lateral thinking.
