SEN Policy Research Forum paper ‘Trends in SEN identification: contexts, causes and consequences’ published
The SEN Policy Research Forum is a group with a wide-ranging membership including academics, researchers, policy consultants, local authority officers and voluntary organisations, including nasen. It regularly publishes policy papers, the most recent of which is ‘Trends in SEN identification: contexts, causes and consequences’, September 2020.
This paper provides a summary of speakers’ contributions at the policy seminar which was held in the summer and gives plenty of food for thought in the crucial area of the identification of needs.
You can now sign up to the Forum’s own website below to read both this paper and forty three previous policy papers going back to 1993. This is an extremely valuable resource and is well worth a look.
