World Mental Health Day 2021
World Mental Health Day is on Sunday 10th October and the theme for this year is ‘mental health in an unequal world’.
The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families has produced primary and secondary toolkits designed to support schools to work towards ending the stigma around mental health, opening up conversations and normalising the discussion of mental health and wellbeing in classrooms.
Young Minds has a #HelloYellow day the Friday before (8th October) to encourage schools to show their support for mental health. There are a set of themed resources to print out and use around your setting.
nasen has a wide range of resources, news items and webinars related to the theme of mental health within schools. Early Years settings can look at the ‘Seven pieces to build the resilience jigsaw’ to support with boosting children’s resilience through everyday activities. nasen also deliver Youth Mental Health First Aid courses.
