The DME Trust

The DME Trust is a collaborative venture between nasen (National Association of Special Educational Needs) and Potential Plus UK (the working name of the National Association for Gifted Children). The DME Trust’s mission is to improve the lives and education of DME young people.

DME is dual or multiple exceptionality, the term used in the UK to describe young people who have both high learning potential and would be classed as having a special educational need because of a learning difficulty, disability or mental health condition.
