Comprehensive Spending Review: submit your representation

The Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, has launched the 2020 Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR), which will be published in the autumn. The CSR sets out the government’s spending plans for 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24 and (for capital budgets) 2024-25. This includes the budget for the Department for Education.

You can have your say by submitting a written representation, which comments on government policy and/or suggests new policy. This means that you could submit a representation on SEND spending and policy, as one of the stated government priorities is to ‘ensure every young person receives a superb education’. Read the Guidance and then submit your representation using the link on the Guidance page – you have until 24th September to submit.

It is crucial that children and young people with SEND are not forgotten in the spending review - the more representations that are submitted about SEND, the stronger and hopefully more powerful the message will be.
