Nurture International offers a Developmentally Led, Trauma Sensitive, Nurture Approach designed to meet learners where they truly are, not just where the curriculum hopes they might be. Rooted in neuroscience and guided by a neurosequential way of thinking, our Nurture Principles for Learning help educational settings understand why our learners behave as they do and how adults can respond in ways that genuinely support development, regulation, and readiness to learn.
These principles act as a clear, practical framework for schools seeking to embed a graduated approach to identifying and meeting learners’ developmental needs. Rather than adding another initiative to an already crowded plate, the approach weaves seamlessly into everyday practice, supporting consistent, emotionally safe environments where children feel seen, understood, and able to engage. When emotional safety comes first, learning follows (often with far less resistance and a great deal more joy).

Meet your trainer - Yvonne Monaghan
Yvonne is a joint CEO at Nurture International with over thirty years experience in working with learners who exhibit social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. Yvonne’s roles include Head of Consultancy and Training for Nurtureuk, Head of a Primary Special school and co-ordinator for Behaviour at Wigan Authority where one of her roles was to be on the CAMHs partnership board.
