New Eating Disorders Toolkit launched

A new toolkit developed in conjunction with the School and Public Health Nurses Association (Saphna) has been launched to support schools. This is a timely release as the figures show that there is a backlog of just under 2,000 patients waiting for treatment as published by eating disorder charity Beat. The strategy has two parts, one for school nurses and one for educational settings. The toolkit provides hints and tips around the language to use and what is important not to say to young people. It provides information around help for parents and signposting to organisations who can offer further support.
