Free event: Attention in Autism – Computerised Progressive Attention Training (CPAT)
Free event for schools and parents
The session is being delivered as part of an impact study which is being led by researchers at the University of Birmingham in collaboration with the Staffordshire Autism Inclusion Team and nasen.
The session will:
- Introduce and explore different types of attention
- Develop your understanding of the importance of attention for learning
- Develop your understanding of the theory and application of a free app for developing attention
- Explore how the programme can benefit autistic children and young people
The session will take place online (via Zoom) on Thursday 17th October from 3.30 pm to 5pm.
CPAT was developed by researchers from University of Birmingham and Tel Aviv University. This evidence-based approach has been trialled in the UK, Greece, Israel, Spain and Brazil. Since 2021, University of Birmingham has partnered with the Staffordshire Autism Inclusion Team to trial the programme in different settings across Staffordshire.
