The Specialist National Reference Group Events
Putting Children and Young People First - Join the conversation!
Sector led events, uniting schools and settings in England.
The Department for Education has published the schools white paper, Every Child Achieving and Thriving, and a consultation on SEND reform, Putting Children and Young People First.
This is a call out from the sector to the sector for the education workforce, parents and all interested parties to encourage engagement with the white paper
Calling out to School Leaders and Senior School Staff, from all schools from any sector
Now the SEND Consultation has started we want you to join in the discussion. This is your chance to discuss the key proposals that are included within the School’s White Paper and the SEND consultation.
In the spirit of co-production, we want to hear the views of the education workforce, parents and all interested parties
We are convening workshops at various locations across the country, bringing together all sectors – specialist and mainstream, where you can directly work with members of the National SEND Reference Group.
Aim of the workshops:
- To become familiar with the main implications contained within the School’s White paper (with reference to children and young people with SEND)
- To discuss these proposals, with other stakeholders, and offer an informed response to the consultation
- Ensure that present best practice is communicated to inform the consultation
- Enable us to share your views and best practice with key Officials
Join us, inform future policy decisions/direction
