
Free Training - Vision Impairment: Starting the Conversation
Are you a professional working with children and young people? Unsure how to support blind and partially sighted (BPS) students effectively?
Thomas Pocklington Trust have created a new free online course, Vision Impairment: Starting the Conversation, launching soon. Designed for professionals with little or no experience of vision impairment, the course has been designed to:
- Build your confidence in understanding what is a vision impairment and its impact.
- Equip you with practical tools and tips to help you to overcome barriers to learning for children and young people.
The course is self-paced and can be completed in the way that suits you, be this one sitting or in blocks over a three-month period. The course provides:
- Real-life case studies to inspire reflection and action.
- Wide ranging topics and practical advice – from understanding what vision impairment is, to the support available and the support you might offer in your role.
