Modular CPD: nasen Recognised Teacher/Practitioner of SEND
- Online
- 09 Nov 2022 (16:00 - 17:00)
These two sessions will focus on the creation of a professional artefact. These webinars are included in the "Recognised Teacher/Practitioner of SEND" module. It is advised that you watch the recorded webinars in your 'Introduction to SEND', 'Understanding and Supporting Universal Needs' and Impact modules before attending a live session.
The live sessions will be 4pm – 5pm on Wednesday 12th October and Wednesday 9th November 2022.
Session 1
This is the first of two live sessions that will focus on the creation of a professional artefact. Drawing on the content of the both the “An Introduction to SEND in Practice” and “Understanding and Supporting Universal Needs” modules and your own experiences we will identify an artefact that will have the most impact for your setting.
This artefact will be different for each participant as it will be shaped by their specific context. For example, it may be a new policy, a new lesson plan template, CPD to share with colleagues or the piloting of a new support strategy.
What will this session cover?
- Applying your learning to a specific area of focus
- Identifying an appropriate artefact with a clear rationale
- How to evaluate the impact the artefact will have
Session 2
This session builds on the work carried out in Session 1. We will address any potential refinements to the artefact that may be required or what potential barriers to implementation could be addressed.
This session will also ensure that we have an effective impact measure for the artefact allowing for an effective review of whether the aims of the artefact we achieved.
