Free communication symbols for D&T teachers

The Design & Technology Association has produced a set of communication symbols with Widgit to support learners in D&T subject areas. The symbols highlight specific equipment and processes that are found in the D&T subject areas of food technology and resistant materials. The resource adds visual support to the printed word, supporting greater understanding. The symbols can be used to support students with language barriers, enable independent learning through labelling tools and equipment, create bespoke instructions and much more. The first set of 40 symbols are available to order and download for free from their website.
