EY checklist for emerging concerns

  • General
  • 23 Oct 2023
early years

This editable checklist will help practitioners in the Early Years to see what records they need to collect for a child about whom they have emerging concerns. There is text explaining what is needed and a one-page checklist to put in a child's file to support effective record keeping.

This information will help you to build an accurate picture of the child over time, and support the identification of possible special educational needs. It will help to ensure that any transition to another setting is effective, by collating all relevant information in one place, and will make meetings about the child easier to plan and more useful.
