nasen Connect magazine Autumn Term edition 2025
- Nasen Connect
- 04 Nov 2025
As we publish the 50th and final edition of nasen Connect, we want to extend our deepest thanks to every reader, contributor, and partner who has supported the magazine since its very first issue. Together, we’ve shared insights, celebrated achievements, and championed inclusion across the education landscape.
In this special edition, Annamarie Hassall MBE, nasen’s Chief Executive, reflects on how far the sector has come – and the exciting journey still ahead. The issue brings together some of our most inspiring articles, revisiting stories and strategies that continue to shape inclusive practice in schools, colleges and early years settings.
Highlights include:
- A renewed look at creating an inclusive reading curriculum and why literacy belongs to everyone.
- Hartsdown Academy’s approach to “curriculum as intervention”, redefining learning through reading.
- The power of assistive technology, not just for some learners, but for all.
- Real-world examples of driving employment for students with SEND through collaboration and opportunity.
This milestone issue also celebrates excellence through the nasen Awards 2025 and recognises the sector’s ongoing commitment to improving outcomes for every child and young person.
As nasen Connect closes this chapter, our mission continues: to share learning, amplify voices, and drive inclusive education forward through new and exciting channels.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
