NEW READER PEN LAUNCHES WITH IMPROVED USER ACCESSIBILITY

UK assistive tech company, Scanning Pens, has built on the success of its most popular product, the Reader Pen with a new launch of the model, the C Pen Reader 2.

The C-Pen Reader 2 is designed to put users in control of their learning and literacy journeys. Featuring high-speed AI-based text recognition, it keeps customisability at the heart of the reading experience, with built-in font and speed choices, syllabic word breakdowns, and easy to access dictionary support.

James Green, Chief Operating Officer for Scanning Pens says: “The pen is trusted by thousands of children and adults here in the UK and across the world, and now we’ve built on the success of the original ReaderPen with some improvements to make it more accessible.  It’s intuitive to the user’s needs and will continue to help assistive tech being normalised in our society.”

Other notable features are easily accessible word definitions in the dictionary and a bigger memory on the device.  There’s also a higher talking speed setting to improve user productivity and updated versions of the user dictionaries.

Scanning Pens is nearing its 20th anniversary in January 2023 and is now a multi-million-pound global company.  It currently has products in around 80% of schools in England, as well as colleges and universities in England and Ireland. A number of English prisons also use the ExamReader pen which is popular among staff and prisoners.

The company is an exhibitor at the Tes SEND Show in London this week where the C-Pen Reader 2 will be demonstrated by our team of experts, and it is also available for purchase at £230.00.
