Ofqual request to work with SEND settings

To support Ofqual’s work as the qualifications regulator, they regularly visit colleges, schools, and training providers to hear directly from students and staff, gathering valuable feedback and insights. There are two projects that they are wanting to work with special settings or staff working with learners with SEND detailed below:

Accessibility Project
Ofqual  are looking to visit a range of different exam centres and are looking for SEN colleges who would like to meet with them to share their views about qualifications and assessments, including their accessibility for disabled students. These visits are informal, focusing on hearing experiences and gathering feedback rather than observing teaching or learning. The agenda is flexible and can be tailored to suit the needs of your centre.

If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact strategicrelationshipsgq@ofqual.gov.uk

Word Processor Project
Ofqual would also like to hear from individuals about the use of word processors (such as laptops) in GCSE or A level exams.

This project will involve interviews with students and staff members (including SLT, SENCOs, exams officers and IT staff). Interviews will be online and will last for no longer than 30 minutes.
