Session Synopsis

The session will be relevant to current behaviour debates such as authoritarian behaviour approaches post-COVID, and the impact of zero tolerance approaches. Graham will challenge the reactive or outcome behaviour focused approaches that often marginalise children with additional needs, in favour of lifting them up and teaching them the skills and self-control of their own behaviour.

Attendees will learn about common misconceptions and how to boost self-esteem and build emotional literacy.

Session audience: Predominantly aimed at practitioners covering all phases of education but families, people with lived experience and wider stakeholders are welcome.
